My apologies. To me it looks like a thin planchet and that’s what I stated.

I don't get it.. Why do you think it's a Point Of Sale?

We use a POS computer system here at the restaurant.

The picture of it next to the normal cent causes me to think split planchet, but the damage/details aren't right for that IMO. Still a neat, interesting coin and I would probably keep it just for yuks!!!!

I don't know that it's bumpy enough to be acid, is it? It's too smooth.

First thought: acid damage. I’m in that camp.

I love camping out, that's fun. But I ain't never seen an acid-wash that looked like that.

Sorry… but good to say how you feel but…. There are a lot of good people here and many here have been members for years. They know what they are talking about. May not like how it’s said. But it seems you challenge a little conversation which is to the point so many here are to the point. :) Keep searching.

You did get gruff reply from one member. I'm not going to make excuses for him, he is known to be ruff around the edges. He also catches his share of feed back.
The flip side is you received opinions from two premier error coin experts. Ignore the yahoo and focus on the positives.
