even with a homerun, you still need to be aware of the stirkeouts because there are more strikeouts than homeruns....
Sorry, but I am not clear on the standards by which one is a "successful" collector as opposed to an "unsuccessful" one. Just how is that measured ? I mean I have a very good friend who does not collect graded coins but discovers varieties through roll searching. Is he "successful" as his 1400+ varieties may be worth $14 ? Sorry, this implies that someone other than the collector determines the "success" of the collection I think. But maybe I got it wrong ?
I was a collector but I think I have turnred into a hoarder, Just cant let any coins go. It is just contagious.
Believe me Buzzard, you are not the only one! I once in a while buy duplicates if I forget to update my wants list. A normal person would return it, but I tend to store it along with all the others.
