    Okay the I guess I asked it wrong. What I'm wondering is what is the biggest silver ancient coin I can get for a cost that won't break the bank

    Depending on your definition of bank-breaking, probably a tetradrachm of some sort. Your options will range from a couple hundred dollars to 5-6 digits. Plenty to choose from both in price and issuer.

    Really big Ptolemy bronzes are bank breakers but middle size ones are cheap in moderate grade. There are many Roman Provincials that are big and cheap when worn as many are often found.
