The US Department of State is soliciting comments on a recently proposed MOU with Libya. If you care about your continued ability to collect coins of a Libyan origin, which includes most Carthaginian coins as well as various Ptolemaic and Roman coins, among others, please leave a comment either opposing this MOU or asking CPAC to severely limit it. The comment period closes on July 10th and is being rushed through on a holiday week so please, if you plan to comment, do not delay or you'll miss it.

For more information on the proposed MOU, refer to ACCG Executive Director Peter Tompa's blog post on the issue here. There are many organizations and a lot of money on the opposing side of the fight, and the ACCG is the largest collector organization that is fighting for your rights as a collector. If this is important to you there really is no better organization that you as a collector can join.
