Nice, now I know my slabbed coins will be safer when I am looking at my collection when I am in a pool, taking a relaxing bath, or on the beach with the family.
What is the point??? People shouldn't clean their coins so they should get it graded and clean the slab instead? How does this make PCGS money?
Soon you'll see similar features to what's offered on digital cameras: shock proof, water proof, dust proof. What's next - counterfeit proof? That sounded a bit oxymoron...
I'm going to save a fortune on ziplock baggies!! Now when I take a bath with my coins they will stay safe and dry.. LOL
Whew, I was so worried about dropping a slab in the toilet while I am sitting there doing my business and examining all my coins. Now I don't have to worry. I can just soap them up and rinse in the sink if one falls in.
Reminds me of the joke of the two young businessmen, retired in Florida, relaxing in lounge chairs by the pool. The first one says, "The best thing that happened to me was when my business was destroyed by fire. I collected the insurance, and here I am." The second one says, "The best thing that happened to me was when my business was destroyed by flood. I collected the insurance, and here I am." The first one says, "How did you start a flood?"
I'm sure plastic collectors will be thrilled. So next time you flush money down the toilet for a label, then I guess it will come out okay!
I've dropped pagers and cell phones in the toilet before (you know, hitching and unhitching trousers?) Yeah, like it's never happened to you before... So, I suppose if I carried a graded coin in my pocket whilst using the facilities...
Actually this is a great idea. I inherited some slabbed coins that had been in a drenched safe. They smelled of mildew and I feared the coins would be messed up. I gently and thoroughly wiped the slabs with diluted bleach water to try and kill any potential mold or mildew but it would have been nice to know they were already water right before any of that and for cleanup afterwards.
