That's a nice thing to do for your children and an interesting coin. I only have one pop culture coin and this is it. I bought one of these for my son as he is a Bowie fan, he had no choice being raised by me and taking long road trips with my music playing in the car. On July 3rd 1973 I attended Bowie's final Ziggy Stardust performance at the Hammersmith Odeon in London with my late sister and some friends. I had been introduced to his music by my sister and this performance was , in my mind, the start of my following of this incredible performer who brought the theatre to Rock. We were all stunned when he announced at the end of the concert that he would never be performing again so my start was also my finish, or so I thought. Crowds of people wandered around shell shocked and we missed the last bus home so ended up in trouble. There were no cell phones in those days to call home and we didn't have coins for a phone booth. Needless to say it wasn't the end only the beginning and sharing my interest with my kids is part of our story. Take your kids to the DC movies @TreasureInChange if and when they are old enough and create memories.
