Has anyone ran across this error on the Colorado America the Beautiful coin? Is it a first? What what kind of value might it bring? Thank you very much have a great day

Welcome to CT. Post mint damage. Not a mint error. Looks like it lost an argument with a lawn mower.

    Massive Road Kill
Lawn Mower, lost on a roadway and driven over many, many times, etc.

Think of how in the world this coin could have been created at the Mint like that.
Than try to think of all the things that happen to coins. Search you garbage disposal, car, sidewalk, street, dryer, etc etc.

Luckily, even with all that damage, it is still worth 25 cents.

It's going to be really tough to find a modern quarter in circulation that's worth more than face value.

Welcome to CT. Your quarter is PMD or Post Mint Damage meaning what you see happened after it left the Mint.

I would say the quarter was victorious in its lawn mower battle. That blade will cost a great deal more than 25 cents to replace.

It is definitely unique. You could't replicate it exactly like it.

I'd bet that quarter was the one Hugh Jackman was playing with while on the set of Wolverine.

Look like that quarter seen it's last days far from being melted down.

Why is it when someone has a coin that looks like this, the first thing that comes to mind is that it is an error, never that it is damaged? Is it greed?
