Has anyone seen a Plum or eggplant color on a penny? These three cents have been stored in the same roll for 40 plus years. What turns one side of the penny a plum color, while the opposite sides remain normal? God, I wish all pennies were plum. :) I apologize for the fuzzy first photo! 1958 D Uncirc. Sometimes it depends how they are stored . Plum coloring is just nice toning .
