Got this note recently at a local coin shop for what seemed to be a great price. But then I was searching online for a similar note and came upon this listing with the same number, 7011, and became concerned. http://www.motorcycle-memories.com/...Maryland-10-April-1774-Md66_291292094524.html Is my note a reproduction? Edit: I think I figured out what occurred. This note was listed on eBay in November by another local dealer but never sold. So that is why there are pictures of this note everywhere already!
Looks legit based on these photos but there were alot of contemporary counterfeits. It does NOT, however, appear to be one of the garbage modern reproductions. I like it.
Many ebay buyers will not take the chance on Colonials unless they are certified. Looks high grade could be worth well over $100.
