Colonel Cohen Hoard of 1773 Virginia Halfpennies

Thanks for your discussion. The coin is not mine, but its coming up for auction in Europe this month. Since it has some circulation wear and that its offered in Europe - that could argue against the fact that it is a hoard coin...or? Even though possibly found in the 1870s (based on Bowers suggestion) would an pure MS-example become a XF-AU coin like this one solely based on "numismatic wear"?

Ill try to find something more about its provenance, but could be a hard one.
