All I will say about this is that the only truthful and accurate statement in this entire post is the last sentence (fragment). Have a nice day...Mike
look man its not rocket science bro these guys (who sound im sure like yourself) are good and experienced at the coin game and the allmighty dollar is there goal....period! They'll no doubt be succesfull and more power to them...im just saying there not getting any of my money!
And you know their goals exactly how? Also, you are not "just saying there [they're] not getting any of my money" -- you are questioning the motivation and character of those involved without any basis for doing so. Again, I choose to judge people by their actions, not my impressions of their motivation. Clearly, you don't have the same standard. This is my last post on this topic, so I bid you good day...Mike
For those who wish to have an understanding of what CAC proposes to do, please read the link provided by hontonai - LINK. I will say this, if I was still in the market to buy the best quality coins I could get for the grade - yeah, I'd look for coins with a CAC sticker on them. Why ? Because I always wanted the best that was available. And these 4 guys starting this company, well I'd trust their opinions over just about anybody else's. And that would include my own opinion in most cases. And ya know what, I'd never have to pay them a dime. Why ? Because I wouldn't be submitting coins to them and paying the fee. Just like I never submitted coins to any grading company. I'd just buy coins they had already approved. Now, will they be successful in a business sense ? I kinda doubt it actually. I don't think the coin market is ready for this, nor do I think the market will readily accept it. And by the way Jeff, John Albanese not only started NGC, he also helped start PCGS - and he left both companies.
From what I have seen, the dealers haven't been too accepting of the CAC idea so far. However, many of the dealers make money from recognizing and buying PQ coins in TPG holders. If the CAC uses their stickers to point out the nicer coins in the holders, it may take away some of the dealer advantage in recognizing unmarked PQ coins. I will be interested to see how the people at the upcoming CoinFest will respond to the CAC being set up there.
