Not cheap. You just weigh your interest against all the other things you can do with your money. An for you coins are not at the top of the list.
this is a great thread - i have developed a standard that i use when going to coin shows. this standard really helps to get through the tables at larger shows. "I collect government issued coins machine minted for ordinary circulation - real circulated coins used in everyday transactions since the late 18th century" this standard keeps commemoratives, tokens, patterns, and bullion from distracting me. i have cast a wide net with my standard, but it really does help to keep a focus. you'd be surprised how many Canadian commemoratives there are and how tempting they can be - i do have some of the colorized quarters, but they are for my sons, honest -Steve
Another good topic Bone. :thumb: Probably said before, I didn't take the time to read the posts, , but to me an accumulation is something that you, well, accumulate, which you don't really care to learn much about, or have much of an interest. Collecting I feel you have an interest, and you want to learn more about it. Atleast, that is what it is to me, and I may be way off. Neat topic Bone. Phoenix
