One of my employees brought in a collection that had belonged to his grandpa. I lugged this tote home and am going through it today as the weather is cold and rainy. It's a 12 gallon tote and weighs 45 pounds as pictured:

Here's another photo after I unloaded the tub and put on the dining room table:

I'll post more today as I go through and see what kind of goodies are in here!

What a better way of staying inside & away from either infecting or being infected, entertaining yourself & helping a friend by doing this appraisal.
    Kudos,

Here's the foreign coins out of their tin. I'm not so much into this stuff so if anybody sees something just shout out. I'll try to get better pics if needed on individual pieces. Most of this is Canadian (left side). I find the 1904 holed Panama silver and the 1943 Australian Penny interesting!

    Interesting, but not terribly valuable.

Do separate out the older coins, because they are silver.

Dimes from the giant Altoids tin:

I like the one bag, "1976-2002 Shiny Dimes" - nothing to see there I'm sure.

I'm going to take out of rolls and bags to see if there's anything of note.

Silver melt value on the dimes from the giant Altoids tin is $228.09. Moving on.....

Fun..... I would have had to open the Mercury dime book first and see what was in the 16d hole.

I have no intention on looking through the pile on the left.

You can find it on Etsy for $25 shipped. There are a bunch on there, ranging from "gold colored" to bronze to pewter. I have not found much information outside of Etsy, eBay, and a few off sales venues. It is possible that it is an original necklace from the era. However, I have found no information on it.

I marked it down as $10 - I'm sure someone would be a buyer at $15 easy
