I would have thought women would love coins, they're gold and silver and sparkly. But my GF only wants to spend money, not save it.
Well I hope that is what you meant. The moderators might have to edit this thread for the family friendly environment - so glad I go to see the post to start with.
Ahh, you like her makeup on her, what would you think if she wanted you to wear her makeup also? To find out what women really think I recommend the book "women are from venus, Men are from Hell" by Amanda Newman. Fun reading.
I use DE razors too :high5:.....nothing nerdy or ancient about it :hammer: ....its a manly stuff :kewl:.....secret of my awesome sideburns...:rolling:
Lol, and my wife is shaking her head as I read this to her. This is one of the best threads I've ever read - it's comedy galore!
Very funny My wife challenged me to state whether or not I have a 1965 Denver penny. I, of course, told her that I definitely did not. This was just another example for her of how I know more about my coins than "what is important in life". I later told her that she got really lucky by naming a coin that doesn't exist. She asked me if I knew what I could do with my coins... I replied that I did (something about a lack of sunshine...).
The FIX for your problem can be summed up in two words "Louis Vuitton" You want hugs and kisses.... you want Romance??? Or you could buy an 1877 VF Indian Head cent.......for the same amount! Your Call....:smile
All I know is my wife is against me collecting and when she found out I wanted to photograph coins she called me a crazy nerd to my face and walked away. Needless to say I have been photographing coins for 5 years now and every now and then she catches a glimps and says she either likes the look or hates it.
I gotta say, the title may be misleading some here to wonder why they themselves aren't appearing sexy under the guise of coin collecting, when the title simply asks if coin collecting is sexy...not the collector. It all makes sense to me this way. My wife hates that I collect, thus any sexiness that might have been derived from the pursuit of this hobby goes right down the toilet in my house. However, I have sold coins before and used part of that money to take the wife on nice vacations, that were romantic in nature...even for a collector of coins, and in keeping things rated G here, I won't elaborate further details. So, though the hobbiest may not gain any sexiness, the hobby itself can be viewed as sexy in some circumstances, I suppose. Guy~
So I told my wife I was thinking of getting bigger coins (like half dollars and dollars), and she said - honey, I like your coins just fine. You know I don't care about things like that. Your coins have other qualities I like. Thank God, I thought. Thank God.
Well I am single, all the women I know says why are you wasting money on coins. I would guess vast majority of women don't think collect coins is sexy. Maybe somebody can start a poll on how many people at forum here are men. I think there are 10% women.
