You have to learn how to make allowances for out of focus, allowances for color variation, and allowancs for what may be there on the coin or not on the coin at all because of misleading pictures. None of this is easy and it takes a great deal of practice. Even then, it&#039;s easy to be wrong. Now, based on your pictures here is what I see.</p><p><br /></p><p>The &#039;15 looks to have been cleaned, not harshly, but cleaned all the same. If you look closely at the obv you can still see tiny black specks scattered here and there, some of them are on the holder, but not all of them. On the top of the rim, from 11 to 1 o&#039;clock, you can see traces of rough black color. Down around LIBERTY, the date, on Lincoln&#039;s shoulder, in the hair, around the motto and the top of the hair where it meets the fields, and a small amount around the nose - you can see traces of very light pitting. That, coupled with the traces of black is what tells me the coin has been cleaned. I&#039;d bet that at some point in time in the past that coin was almost entirely black. And it has been cleaned off. There are minor traces of the same thing on the reverse but less of it. And I would say that the coin has virtually no luster whatsoever and that it is probably graded AU50 BN.</p><p><br /></p><p>The pics of the &#039;14 are terrible it&#039;s all but impossible to estimate a grade.
