I think it&#039;s a very strong XF45.</p><p>22NoD - You have to know something about this coin and how it&#039;s graded to put it at VG8.&nbsp;&nbsp; I&#039;d have said G4, but I&#039;m not an expert at grading this specific die pair,, and you almost have to be.&nbsp;&nbsp; I like the coin, it&#039;s nice in hand, color, etc..&nbsp; Details &quot;are&quot; more apparent in hand,, it&#039;s almost impossible to get a good picture of this thing, I must have snapped 30 to get this one I posted.&nbsp; Weak strikes picture worse than they are in hand, at least that&#039;s what I&#039;m noticing.</p><p>28S&nbsp; - Another weak strike, this time in MS grade.&nbsp; I think I can see the MS in the picture and recognize it as a weak strike, so I probably would have said 60,, but not 63.&nbsp; That&#039;s another thing I&#039;ve noticed in how TPG grade weak strikes,,, the coin can really be pathetic in details and get a good grade.&nbsp; Must be an art.&nbsp; Coin is nicer in hand and has nice color.&nbsp; I like it, and it came from our own penny lady.</p><p>27S - Nice strike.&nbsp; Scratching my head on this one too... I would have said MS60,, but I guess there is more wear than I&#039;m seeing.... again, in this AU55 to MS62&#039;ish range, it&#039;s really hard for me to differentiate wear from strike.&nbsp;&nbsp; Much nicer strike than the 28, and only a bit of wear... yet it scores 8 pts lower... </p><p>31 - look back at the 1913 BB....&nbsp; you should be able to see a difference in degree of luster in the pictures.&nbsp; Anyway,, this coin in nice.&nbsp; Old pcgs holder.</p><p>34 - booming strike imo, glowing luster... imo the numerous minor hits keep it from scoring more.</p><p>36 - less of a strike than the 34, but a good strike and much cleaner.</p><p><br /></p><p>Awards for this set of cents:</p><p>Best - RLM&#039;s - 1.71&nbsp;&nbsp; (two lengths ahead of the pack at the finish line) - outstanding round.</p><p>HA - Shoe - 5.71 &lt;welcome back&gt; - our first two time winner. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie2" alt=";)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>Now on to round 5.</p><p>We&#039;ll do six cents in round 5.</p><p>Theme will be color, but will still be scored by grading offered.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
