I visit CU and CT everyday, and enjoy both. There are very knowledgeable people on both forums, but I prefer CT for its more relaxed feeling. PCGS being the owner of the CU site, it seems that the numismatic "industry" is often the subject of threads, which I find gets tiring pretty quickly. Also, so many new threads are posted everyday that one I may have been watching vanishes to page 5 overnight (maybe I just don't read the exciting threads!). Also, the PCGS owners will only tolerate but so much criticism of their operation.(they used to poof any thread that so much as mentioned CAC). Also, two highly regarded numimatists- Laura Sperber (Legend) and Mark Feld- have been banned by the shadowy moderators. I don't know why- if you mention it you'll be banned too! Roger W. Burdette left not long ago because he was disgusted by all the name calling and bullying. Several long time members have left because of other intererests.

Another of my interests is numismatic fraud (as in fighting it), and I find that when I post here about some auction of fakes on eBay more interest seems to be generated, whereas on CU it drops to the basement pretty quickly- even a thread about fake PCGS slabs being auctioned here in the US. There seems to be a "head in the sand" approach to the numismatic crime wave about to crest on PCGS (again, I don't think the site owners would take kindly to a comparison with the steps NGC has taken, or DLRC, to combat slab fraud).I don't mean to sound critical, these are just some observations of mine. Personally, I'd like to see some more back and forth among the groups, posting of links to each others' threads, encouraging an exchange of knowledge and ideas-- what these sites are supposed to be about. Tempus fugit!
