Sometimes, bad press is a good thing. It seems like, the best thing about CoinTalk, is the large number of persons, who post on the forum. Also, the user interface is good. The "History Of Byzantium" podcast looks interesting. Maybe I'll check it out. I'm also trying to read Norwich's 4 "Byzantium" books (3 detailed books, and 1 less detailed book), when I have the time. I like the "Like" feature, because it lets me know, that a person viewed my post, and that a person understood my post well enough to "Like" my post, or at least liked the photos of the coins. It also lets me know, who that person was, which is nice to know. It's also nice to know, that a person liked my post. It makes me think, that I made a positive contribution, to the world, in a small way. Of course, I try not to get "addicted" to Likes. I also occasionally visit Coin Community Forum, and Forum Ancient Coins. However, those 2 ancient coin forums, don't seem to have as much traffic, as the CoinTalk ancients forum. However, it's nice to have alternative ancient coin forums. I also like the amount of information, which is available, on Forum Ancient Coins, such as the "NumisWiki", which I often stumble upon, when I do Google searches for particular ancient coin topics. And, I like to search the Members' Gallery, on Forum Ancient Coins.
