Entry post for the shipwreck coin, a type that the hoard is missing. Thank you @Dafydd for the great prize.
Count me in for this one! A shipwreck 8 Reales! Shiver me timbers! I'm going to have to watch "Pirates of the Caribbean" tonight! I don't have any shipwreck coins, nor any 8 Reales. But, I have had the pleasure of holding some used 2004 Jefferson Keelboat Nickels! LOL! Not as nice as this one shown on PCGS CoinFacts, though! Closest I've come to holding a shipwreck coin.
Entering on behalf of @expat . Thank you @Dafydd for the truly historical coin. Thank you to @lordmarcovan for all of his generosity in setting up these events. If @expat is the winner, I will put $20 towards postage. Just remind me please.
Entry post I would love to add a shipwreck coin to my collection. A great prize to win @Dafydd thanks for the opportunity. And many thanks to @lordmarcovan for your continued excellence at organising these giveaways. A coin related item,
Thank you would love to have it The Isles of Scilly are mostly own by the Duchy of Cornwall and also was possibly at war with the Dutch for over 300 years do due do some strangest during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms this included a period when the Dutch Statholder was King of England Scotland and Ireland
I will enter.... for @serdogthehound. I don't know half of the people here that are entering for this coin, but this user name is quite different, so heck, to him it goes if my number is drawn.
Count me in! I love the cob type coinage, and adding that kind of history behind it puts it far above any monetary value it's given (to me personally.)
Please add my entry for Randy Abercrombie. Randy has been so generous to others, and I wanted to say thank you through an entry for him. I thought I would share a photo of a hobo nickel.
Oh heck, I'll pile on. Please consider this post an extra entry for @Randy Abercrombie ! Certainly a deserving chap for his own generosity. I don't know if I ever shared this piece. My second ever ancient coin.
Julian the Apostate. Interesting fella. Wasn’t having any of that newfangled Christianity stuff the Romans had switched to. Tried to turn back the clock to that “old time religion”. Didn’t work out so well.
I haven’t had time to do the drawing yet. Will get ‘round to that later, when I can. In the meantime, this round of the contest remains open for entries.
