You know what, I love facebook, love it. It allows me to keep in touch with friends I've made in the military that I won't ever be stationed with again. It allows us a constant casual contact so that when someone PCSes a second time they just update it and we can resume normal contact with each other and talk about kids and etc and not just save it for the once a year christmas letter.
Yeah, facebook is cool...I dont use it much and the only personal info I have on there is my name. Its a good way to communicate with family and friends that are spread out all over plus I reconnected with some old friends there as well. I got on there mainly because my family uses it to chat with each other (we live all over) and thats pretty much all I use it for. I dont use anything that requires an app since it says when you try to use one that it will gain access to personal info...I dont really have any personal info myself up there but just in case, I decline the mafia wars and other stuff that uses those apps. You dont have to spend all your time there...its a useful tool...like email or a personal chat room with only people you like there.
