The 1 over 1 is really apparent and dramatic! I think the planchet flaws are interesting and give it a lot of character. definitely a keeper.

Ok.. here's my ugly Fugio.

When the Lord was passing out Pretty, this Fugio thought he said 'Gritty', and got in the back of the line. :goofer:

And whoever used this as a necklace (holed), must've also used it as a chew toy!

I believe it's a 9-T, but I'm not 100% sure. As you see, there's not a lot of markers left for a diagnostic.

I like your Fugio! Sure it's damaged, but there is a lot of the design left and I'm not seeing a lot of corrosion. Talk about coins with character....

    Rabbit,
Maybe you would have some incite about my carpenters scribe with the Fugio cent marking wheel. Please see my post May 12, 1010 with pictures...Except for the hole in the middle and file marks, it is in very good condition. Do you know what variety example this is?
    Thanks

I sent my "Fucio" Concave Rays in for slabbing after almost dropping it twice while showing it to friends ... people just want to hold the thing in their hands. So now it is protected from oily fingers and accidental dings, as it should be. I figured it would make XF40 and, sure enough, that is exactly what she came back as today ...

That's a very scarce, important, and historic Fugio. Slabbing it to prevent handling errors seems reasonable. What an amazing early issue!
