CoinStar Nightmare.. Then problem remedied! :)

    Yeah, I got a similar one with Citi a year ago. Got $600 to move my savings over, $1000 to move brokerage over, and at the time got about 2.5% interest on savings. Its down to about 1% now, but still better than most of the competition.

    Our oldest son had accumulated over $700 in loose change and was going to take it to the bank to be counted and rolled by the CoinStar machine. Oooops, the fee was 11.85 % and I told him not NO but H... NO! Got coin wrappers from bank; went home and in about 5 hours we had all coins wrapped.
    Deposit made next day with no immoral/abominable fee being paid.
    He bought pizza for supper. :)

    Oh, yes I did have a friendly chat with the bank manager.

    That would have been $85 in fees! Yikes. 5 hours is a worthwhile investment

    CoinStars are now everywhere... but I didn’t check how much they charge.
