Yah, Memorex was their competition ...... wow, tapes (the worst of the media choices during my life) Sure, the beauty was you could tape your own voice if you had the right cheapo recorder ... but man, I lost soooo many tapes in my truck's tape player!! (oh, and if it got hot in the truck, the tapes were destined to stretch and be garbage) ... cool memories though, eh? Hi-tech evolution ... the CD has really been a bit of a total winner (it's probably been around for 25-30 years?)
ahh those were the days.. going from 8 track to cassette was a big leap.. we thought, i remember my 1st of each.
Ro. Life is tough. Don't make it tougher. Now let me get something to make it real. I have it that this is a roughly 300BC Samarian
Well, with my recent Julia Domna binge. You may see lots of JD coins, pretty sure people are going to be sick and tired of her coins when I'm finished posting them all.
Careful! That cone can amplify and distort his sense of hearing. He may mistake you for an ancient coin thief and attack!
So I bought a 2017 truck...it does not have a tape deck or cd player. Anything other than radio has to connect through USB, AUX, or Bluetooth. In case anyone is wondering, the truck is awesome.
Nice car. Unfortunately my rides have been nothing fancy. I've always had the philosophy that a car should be small (for easy city driving and parking), cheap, fuel efficient, and reliable. What's the point of a gas guzzler with a big powerful engine when 95% of the time I will be going no faster than 10 or 15 miles an hour during Miami rush hour traffic. This is my car ownership history: 1998 Hyundai Accent 2005 Hyundai Accent 2010 Hyundai Accent 2014 Hyundai Accent (my current car) And my next car will probably be a 2018 or 2019 Hyundai Accent, followed by a 2023 or 2024 Hyundai Accent, etc., etc. Pretty boring, I know... but not all of us can be car guys.
Look, Texas is truck country. It's required when living here. And you should branch out a little. I used to be very hung up on Cadillacs. I used to love the brand and I owned several...and still own one. (They stopped making vehicles I like so I had to move on) I hate the city and I hate small. For my job I either climb into confined spaces or do a bunch of administrative stuff...I need my space!
If I lived in a nice open place I'd want a truck or a muscle car too. Believe me, I get why you want the truck. But here in overcrowded and traffic ridden Miami...whatever!
I get it! I lived in England! The two lane roads were slightly larger than a typical 1 lane road in the US!
There's not a whole lotta traffic where I live ... actually, there isn't a whole lotta much, except snow!! (we have a couple of 4x4's as well)
I actually like that. I stayed over one time at my friends place, think it was Toronto in the urban area. Nice, quiet and peaceful. Lots of snow, but it wasn't like so much you can't walk on top of it.
