I'm interested in coins with trumpets, foreign or otherwise. Know of any?

Tennessee and Louisiana state quarters both have trumpets.

I can't think of any off hand mohrt, but I'm curious why you asked. Are you thinking of starting a "theme" collection of coins depicting trumpets? It sounds like it would be a fun thing to do.

I've played the trumpet all my life, I thought it would be fun to collect them.

Here is one with bugles/trumpets. British, 1993. There are 40 bugles on the reverse, and there are 8 bugles in the hands of the horsemen on the obverse!

You might get more replies to this message if it were in the "Coin Chat" section instead of "Contests". Could one of the mods move this thread?

That's the best reason I can think of to collect something mohrt...because you'd enjoy doing it. Have fun with it!

I sent you two private messages. One with a link to one of the 2006 coins (mentioned by chrisild) and another Private Message with links to where you can find the 1993 coin with all the horses and 40 bugle bells.

If I remember the 1945 S Mercury Dime has a variety called the "Trumpet Tail." Not a true trumpet, but still of interest.

Closest I've got is the Austrian silver philharmonic with a french horn on it
