It&#039;s interesting to note the evidence of an example on a Canadian coin. This suggests that Ginn may have been from Maine or another state bordering Canada, most likely Maine. While Canadian coins weren&#039;t legal tender in the US they did circulate within the border areas between the two countries. Usually the issuers were from these areas for that very reason.
