1965 New Zealand half crown. A while back I stumbled upon all these 1965 NZ coins which were very proof like, so I snatched them up quite briskly. Guess we are still doing fractional denominations.
Neat thread. I think I have one coin I can add that isn't posted yet. 1904 Panama 2 1/2 Centesimos AKA The Panama Pill. This is one of the worlds smallest silver coins at only 10mm around and weighing 1.5 grams.
Lombards/ Pavia AV Triens (1/3 Solidus) ND Pavia Mint Luitprandus 712-44 The Lombards where a Germanic people that invaded Northern Italy in 6 th century. Their coins imitated regal Byzantine/ Western Roman Empire coinages.
1806 Bahamas proof restrike 1/2 Penny 1641-43 England 1/2 Crown I collect English and Irish halfpennies so I have a bunch I could add to this thread but I will refrain so I do not spam the thread.
I haven't seen anybody post any of these so I figured I would. First up, the 1/2 ecu, one from 1649 (MS63) and one from 1650 (MS64). Next, the 1/12 ecu, one from 1658 and another from 1659. Raw and in fairly nice condition.
Here is a 1/32 Birr from Ethiopia: Ethiopia 1/32 Birr EE 1889 (AD 1897) Obverse: Emperor Menelik II (AD 1889-1913) Reverse: Lion of Judah An Ethiopian Birr or Talari was the equivalent of the silver Maria Theresa Thaler.
I have one .... Hanover 1846. Ernst August king of Hanover. B= Mintmaster Ludwig August Bruel. 1/12 thaler 168 to the fine mark. The thaler there and then was 0.5364 oz. The mark was 7-1/2 ounces. This coin is 2.67 grams, 0.521 fine, ASW = 0.0447 oz.
