Here's Vabalathus and Aurelian on opposite sides of the same coin.

(Picture stolen from @Mat - I used to own the coin, but he does now.)

This silver didrachm from Ptolemaic Egypt was issued by Ptolemy VI ("Philometer"), but shows the portrait of Ptolemy I ("Soter").

A William and Mary tin halfpenny with a copper plug in the centre. Not my coin unfortunately as one in this grade is almost impossible to find but a beautiful coin all the same

Ahh, yes of course. William and Mary.

Here they are again on a humble, "holey" 1693 Irish halfpenny.

There is plenty of Spanish colonial gold coinage of Charles III showing the bust of Ferdinand VI with a Charles III inscription, and not just in the transitional year, but for the next 10 or so.
