Like I said earlier the first pics were with a camera phone and the flash is stupid and does not do justice. As I get the new pics I will post them.

That is what I suspect, that some phone cameras give off a weird glossiness on coins.

Yeah and it seems the smarter they make them the worst they are and pics. I'm disappointed because even the new pics are not turning out right and I'm about to get mad.

I know I bid on a V Nickel and the auction stated that the picture was posted using a smartphone app. It had the same wierd glossiness. I ended not buying the coin because the seller had an issue with their Paypal and couldn't pay them. I contacted them about it and they never responded.

From what I see the quarter eagles might be OK but the rest of the gold is only worth melt. Both eagles and the double eagle are well worn and hve been severely polished. They really have no premium value now and are only bullion. The dollars might be interesting but I can't tell anything from the photo. I DON'T believe they are just melt.

The recent picture of the 1856 quarter eagle backs up my opinion that the quarter eagles may be OK, it looks pretty good. But I still don't think new pictures are going to save the eagles or double eagle.

You are very correct on the eagles all were polished and haved marks indicating a bezel or something was attached at oine time.

Anyone with issues with paypal would not be getting a call from me, maybe it was a good thing he didn't return your call.

Still better imo saving the coins from melt even if some have issues.

Mine too. Hopefully I can work out the issues of the lighting system today and take pictures good enough where everyone will appreciate and get a better judgement on the coins. But as with everything there will be people that are skeptical.

We all hate to see our classic coinage go to the pots, but considering that problem fre slabbed UNC only go for 10-20% over melt I wouldn't buy these. Unless of course she gives you a great deal. I would consider the dollars and quarter eagles though.
