    I never noticed that before. There's is one on both the obverse and reverse.

    Although this is round, it is really round. It is a sphere. 33mm .999 Silver.

    Not round has made it as a theme in the coin Uno thread.     Just one of the much smaller manen koban. As low as you can go on the weight and purity (and price) scale. Dates from 1860-1867. Hubs got it for me one anniversary when we lived in Japan. A man who truly understands his wife! Flowers are nice, gold is better, and pre-monetary reform Japanese gold money is the best!
