I've actually received both a 25 cent piece and a 10 cent piece from ECS in change, mistaken for their US counterparts (I actually have quite a few foreign coins in my collection that I received this way!).

Also have a 1965 proof set... outer box is labeled "Proof Coinage of the East Catibbean Currency Authority" and "Coinage as formerly issued by the British Carribbean Currency Board dated 1965." Able to shed any light on the histroy of this? May post pics later.

 

Troodon,there is a section called 'Coins of the British Commonwealth - British Caribbean Territories (Eastern Group)' where you can post your photos of the 1965 Proof set.

It is not surprising that you can find Canadian & East Caribbean States' coins in change over there in America.The aluminium 2c. & 5c. coins are not easy to find.
