Here's a hard to come by Kshemagupta coin from Kashmir with only the kings name on it. He reigned from 950 - 57/58 AD The majority of his coins have his queens name to the left "Di" (Didda rani). They married in late AD 950 and it is said that he soon fell under her spell becoming completely infatuated with her beauty to the point of being nicknamed "Diddakshema" by the populace. It is quite rare to find a king adding his wife's name to his own coins. So with this in mind I can tentatively date this coin to his early years of reign around AD 950/51. Kshemagupta (Probably minted in his first year of rule as his queens name is not mentioned) Copper Kaserah or Punchshi 18mm / 5.74gr Obverse- Goddess Ardochsho/Lakshmi seated facing in half lotus position, with Nagari legend 'kshema' to right Reverse- King standing facing and sacrificing at altar holding trident, with Nagari legend 'Gupta' bottom right
