Post your coins of my Favorite City of the Ancients...

    Carthage!

Any Ancient Carthaginian Coins, be they Punic, Roman (Carthage Mint only) or Vandal (Carthage Mint only), can be posted here!

This means that this thread includes Punic-Sicily, Punic-Spain and Punic-Iberia!

This thread also includes Roman coins dated to the Punic Wars and Roman coins celebrating the Punic Wars!

Can't wait to see your coins from my Favorite City and it's Hegemony, along with those relating to it!

So where's the elephants? Hannibal used them on a back door maneuver to invade Rome.......

Little out of budget (and by a little I mean really out of budget!)
    :(

My next picture post on this thread will (hopefully) be a Roman Coin stuck when Hannibal was in Italy!

    Various Sizes of Carthage Coins

Check some out together...for size comparison...Carthage minted many coins in many different sizes and denominations the relationship between devices and size has yet to be fully understood. The value of the coins and the Phoenician monetary system are still a mystery.
