It had previously been in a local collection and most likely would have been sold to that collector by the same dealer that eventually sold it to me So I took it home and looked it up in here [ATTACH=full]1498796[/ATTACH]</p><p>Working out the type and the legend I discovered it was minted during the reign of Vespasian and was RIC 1040. The text indicated that the coin was plated.
