With my current pursuit of all things exonumia, it's easy to forget certain numismatic items that I purchased long ago.

Trying to go through and catalog my collection, I occasionally run across something that I forgot I had.

I knew that I had bought the following a few decades ago, but dates and conditions escaped me.

I was pleasantly surprised to become reacquainted with the following.

Post up any coins that you forgot you had.

You know... Memory is the 2nd thing to go.

    I can't remember the 1st thing.

The 1880 Nickel mintage is only 24,955. That might be the lowest mintage business strike coin I own.

Many thanks for the data on the silver varieties.

Love all the coins. Some beauties for sure.

I'm kinda curious. The 1798 one cent. Why the heck would anyone slab that in the condition that it's in? Does it have a Sheldon variety noted? And if so, is it a more rare variety?

There is not enough data space on CT for me to post any coins that I’ve forgotten I had. I now have 2 and 3 of the same key date coin, like a 1916-D Dime. I have 3 of them. I can think of worst things to have extras of. :)

Self slab. The white surround makes it easier to photograph. It gives the camera something to "white balance" from and helps the contrast of the image.

I haven't tried to attribute that one just yet.

Of course it would be the star in my "Lowball Set", should I decide to start one . . . . .
