Here's another favorite so far. It's really ravished, and the reverse has been largely eaten away by corrosion, which a previous owner has stripped off along with much of the detail. But I'm mesmerized by the obverse portrait. It's so realistic, and it reminds me of a portrait that you might find on a tetradrachm of a 2nd centry B.C. Cappadocian King:
    Perinthos.jpg
    Greek AE24
THRACE, Perinthos, semi-autonomous issue, ca. 1st century B.C.
Obv: Youthful head of Dionysos, facing right.
Rev: ΠEPIN - ΘIΩN - Demeter, standing, facing left, holding corn ears in right hand and long torch in left.
    Moushmov 4407
    24 mm, 5.2g.
