Coins found metal detecting.

A couple of years ago she dug up an 1827 large cent in her own yard. We're in Ohio but even though we were a state then (1803 statehood) we were still pretty sparsely populated.

I have read stories here on CT where guys along the coast have dug up ancient Roman coins! They figured they were somehow mixed in with ships ballast long ago….. not long ago a fellow posted here a very high grade seated half that he dug up in a garden in Canada…. I guess it just goes to show… You never know!
