He was near the U.S. Post Office on William J. Bryan Parkway, where workers are repaving the street, he said, when he noticed items stuck in the mud along the sidewalk.</p><p><br /></p><p>Among the <b>items were glass, <span style="color: Red">coins from the early 1900s</span> and what he thought was a human jawbone</b>.</p><p><br /></p><p>&quot;You see all kinds of things turn up when they&#039;re tearing up the sidewalks, it&#039;s like a time capsule,&quot; he said. &quot;But I didn&#039;t expect to see a human jawbone.&quot;</p><p><br /></p><p>Patty took the bone to the police station, where detectives launched an investigation that included checking whether a cemetery had ever been nearby.</p><p><br /></p><p>Within two hours, an expert at Texas A&amp;M had examined the bone and three attached teeth and determined that the deceased was a four-legged farm animal, said Peter Scheets, assistant police chief.</p><p><br /></p><p>&quot;It was a pig jawbone,&quot; Scheets said. &quot;Once they cleared off the dirt and debris from it, you could see that the crown of the teeth were sharp and pointed, not flat like a human&#039;s.&quot;</p><p>////////////////////////////////////</p><p>I wonder what the coins were...[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
