The only one posting here is Alex, the 12 year old. My dad, peter, owns the hummer club of rochester, ny. the posts may seem sophisticated, but they are all me. thanks, coinmaster1
So you, the 12 year old coin master, will be at the October Coin Show listed on your web site's upcoming events page. Will you be selling and/or taking submissions for authenticating coins at the show? Do you give demos? Your parents let you set up ALL on your own to run this business, ALL on your own?
Just to let everyone know, you are all doing great so far in this contest. Some VERY close calls! GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO HAVEN'T VOTED A NUMBER YET! -coinmaster1
Wow you guys are being a tad harsh...or that is how I'm reading it from my POV anyway. @krispy - The .doc file on his site is safe. My anti-virus software didn't detect anything.
@ Jezzer: Thanks for checking the .doc out for us. I don't think this is being harsh, wasn't meant to be, just adding up some things stated and asked some questions for clarity. If he says that's who he is then so be it. Others seem to be curious to some statements as well.
No Jezzer, you see we aren't. There has been enough evidence presented to be suspicious. You have been a member here since June 2010, the people that are being 'harsh' Mikenoodle, Krispy, and myself have been here for a while, and have seen things go down on this forum, and see people, just like yourself say we are being harsh. BNB was the perfect example! Heck, I was a perfect example when I first joined this forum! Am I doubting there is a 12 year old on the other end of the computer? Yes, I kinda am, although he hasn't given a big reason for me not to believe he is 12, so for that I believe him. I'm torn. I know what that feels like, to type so good and say things that you shouldn't be able to say, I went through it last year, it only made me a better person and numismatist. You have to look at several things here, Krispy, in doing research found a link to his father, so closely related that it could mean that him and his father are using the same account, maybe it is just me but I've seen a few posts from Coinmaster that don't necessarily match up. Also a 12 year old, that has read every book, starting at age 7. That is what, 2nd grade?! You are telling me a 2nd grader was reading books that grown men can't even finish?! I highly doubt it. You are 12, you don't know everything there is to know, in five years, that is it, no way around it. Also, owning your own grading company is a tad understandable, from this note, I can understand him, because I could've easily done this as well, but not too many people would've wanted to have their coins graded in my company, just doesn't add up or make sense. I felt terrible when people wouldn't believe me about my age, but I never gave such ridiculous reasons to believe they couldn't, other than elegant typing.
No problem on the .doc As for the trying to get things understood I see where people are coming from in trying to obtain more information. However I really think that we are derailing his contest thread. Perhaps a new thread to discuss his credentials and so forth should be set up so that this thread may return to the contest it originally was meant to be. EDIT: I am done posting in this thread as I do not wish to further derail his contest. If you want to continue discussing with me send a PM or a message on my profile page.
Thanks Travis. And Jezzer: Yes, he has me confused with these statements and claims, mainly going about on the threads underscoring his very young age and accomplishment as his own. I don't mind if Mom and Dad or someone close are helping him out but it's not being presented this way, far from it.
Quit being hard on me. Yeah, maybe dad helps me with the website, and has gotten me where I am today, but these accomplishments are mine. I own the grading company, I am twelve, I am the only one sending these posts. Please stop. The only thing that I want discussed in this thread starting now is the contest. If you want to continue this conversation, pm me. Thank you, coinmaster1
@ coinmaster1: No worries. Just been asking for clarity as I said above, and so you understand how I am perceiving you so far. I mean no ill will towards you okay.
