that's kind of my point. This coin carries no premium except in high-end Mint State. A 1975-D Lincoln Cent slabbed as MS-62 by ANY grading service is worth less than the plastic holder costs.

Even at NGC MS-65 it won't carry a premium. The 67 does only because it is a registry set collector's coin (a top pop). It's a common coin available in MS by the roll and has no real reason to be slabbed.

That isn't the point he was making.
The point was you posted a link to a MS65 and MS67 75-D to show a premium, of why somebody would grade it, when in fact with the coin you are giving away, there is no actual premium as it is MS62 from a grading company not a whole lot of people know about.
So why would somebody want to slab a low grade common date modern coin?

    Apparently he's not a fast learner. He paid $30 for a corroded 1828 13 star half-penny.

i have a couple of questions about your grading company... as for grading any us coin, does that include colonial coins? and your company is called "national coin AUTHENTICATION service"... do you offer a guarantee with said authentication?

@ coinmaster1 the "Proud Numismatist" and master of coins, number 1... Is that your dad? Which one of you is 12? Which one of you is Peter or Alex? Who are we speaking to?

I visited your web site N.C.A.S. that you have linked to on your profile page. For having been a round a few years and graded 1000 or so coins, you only have 73 page hits showing on your SUBMIT coins page.

I see there is a President and Founder, Alexander Colombo that states he has 4 1/2 years background in this business. I read in this forum yesterday that you have been reading every book you can find about US coins for the past 5 years and so now know everything there is to know about them, which is an astounding claim for a person who began at the tender age of 7 and is now 12, maybe 13 years old.

The SUBMIT coins link offers a file I may download but I have NOT because it is a Word (.doc) file and I don't want any bugs from it, if its got any. That Word file is stored on yet another URL, which is different, it is for a page about Hummer vehicles: http://www.hummercor.com/ncas/NCASSO...ISSION_dot_doc (Word file). I have visited http://www.hummercor.com/ and it is a Hummer auto club that reads, "The Club was started by Peter Colombo an avid Hummer Owner and Enthusiast." Maybe this is Dad's thing.

What I'm getting at is one of you guys seems to be a YN and the other a salesman or some combination therein trying out some coin grading venture. Are you both using the coinmaster1 account here on CT? Most all of your posts read too sophisticated for an 12 year old, while a few come off a bit on par for that age. I'd just like to know who I'm dealing with, so I wonder if we are talking to Peter and/or Alex as coinmaster1 and whether or not this is all a set up for a sales pitch or you're a genuine member here not just a self promoting type.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on my questions.
