For the last day or two, I've noticed that the price of silver reported by Coinflation is significantly higher than the price from Kitco. This puzzles me -- I thought Coinflation started getting their price data from Kitco some time ago. What am I missing here? Any other near-real-time sources I can compare to figure out who's right?
Coinflation only updates once a day, I thought? Or maybe I'm just thinking they don't update live after trading hours, although it's currently well within trading hours, so it wouldn't explain the discrepancy. Did you check coinflation against the London Fix price? Maybe they switched again.
They moved to around-the-clock updates some time ago. I found the LBMA page, but I'm having trouble interpreting the data there. Is the Silver Fix yesterday's price, with the SIFO MEANS describing the delta from that price in the last one minute three minutes, and so on?
I just use this page, it's a nice snapshot of where all the markets currently are. http://www.kitco.com/market/
