I'm considering getting CoinFacts. I've used it a bit and I like it. Do you use CoinFacts? If so, do you think it's worth the $99 a year?
I don't currently have a subscription, but I've debated it for a couple years. I know that many many people who subscribe swear by it. I think it's a very good resource to have if you're looking at high end items -- particularly USA coins. I mostly collect world coins, and as of now, I can usually find what I want on PCGS' site without the need to pay for CoinFacts.
This is the 1911-D weak D xf45 I own and submitted for grading. To my surprise, I logged into coinfacts and saw it staring back at me one day. This was a few years ago, and it has been replaced by a higher grade now. Does anyone know if or how I can find this picture on the website anymore? I just have it saved on my computer for now.
And I'm not gonna lie, mine still has better shoulder details than the AU53 they now show, and it also looks better than the AU55 I received back from NGC.
Just got this pic today after submitting it last week to add the variety. 1836/1336 PCGS AU55. Next it's off to CAC!
Your coin is still there. It's hard to find. Hope this link works. http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/CoinImages.aspx?s=7954
Probably to see the pretty pictures.....plus its good to bring up back threads, I enjoyed looking over this one again.
I used to subscribe, but I don't buy but a couple of coins per year - so I cancelled. I still use the free looks now and then. For those that don't know: from the PCGS price guide, click on the coin number and the Coin Facts page will come up. It only allows a few looks at a time before you are locked out though.
A lowly MS62. There are some light ticks that are hidden by the toning that only show when the light hits the coin just right. It is still a PQ 62. Usually I don't collect coins at that low of a grade level, but its eye appeal is truly superb for the grade.
I purchased CoinFacts and have been using it for a few months now. The pictures are very helpful, whether I am trying to grade a coin or just want to see some pretty coins. Well worth the money IMO
