    * Bronze (1909-1942, 1947-1958), Brass (1944-1946). During 1944-1946, wartime shell casings were used which were mainly brass, but there was a trace of tin present. Thus you may see these referred to as either brass or bronze, or you may see no distinction made at all.

    What about Proof versions for the type set?

    I don't make a "type" distinction for proofs, satin finishes, uncirculated, circulated, etc. Just my preference.

    @CoinCorgi
    Memorial
    Bronze: 1959-1962 (95% copper, 2.5% zin, 2.5% tin)
    Brass: 1962-1982 (95% copper, 5% zinc)
    • So, you need a Bronze example:)
    • And an example of a Wheatie, not a VDB, that is
    Plus, I have really not nice ones of all of those :):bookworm:
    Joke: What about those aluminum cents???:doctor:

    I do have bronze 2009 cents, but they are part of mint sets. I do want to bust open a set and take a bronze example out and replace the zinc 2009 I have now in my type set. For now, my 1909 VDB bronze will be my bronze Lincoln type.

    Bronze for memorial
    Bronze, not wheat, NON-VDB

    aka satin finish right? No, I don't make the "type" distinction for strike type, nor grade. I drew the line at composition I guess and kept the occasional "variety" (i.e vdb).

    I get it now...you want a 1959-1962 bronze memorial example included...hmmm.

    No, I mean the 2017-s enhanced uncirculated, not satin finish

    Ah...more mint rubbish. As stated, I am not concerned about the various strikes/finishes.
