<p>[QUOTE=&quot;Vess1, post: 2198135, member: 13650&quot;]Probably too late for me to get a comment in but I&#039;ll throw my 2 cents in the hat on this topic once more.&nbsp;&nbsp; I must be the only one completely happy with what they&#039;re doing for this commemorative set.&nbsp;&nbsp; (At risk of getting a cyber tomato thrown at me&nbsp; lol ) I actually like what they&#039;re doing.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; If all they made was a silver version, sure, I&#039;d buy it.&nbsp; If all they make is a gold version, I&#039;ll buy it.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Folks, this is a special, <u>100 year</u> anniversary set in recognition of some of the best designs ever used on US coinage.&nbsp; Why shouldn&#039;t the set be special? </p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; To just do them in silver would seem to cheapen the occasion IMO.&nbsp;&nbsp; If you reach your 50th anniversary, are you going to celebrate by cracking open an Old Style Light or an expensive bottle of champagne?&nbsp;&nbsp; This is a 100 year anniversary.&nbsp;&nbsp; It&#039;s a special milestone so they want to make a special set.&nbsp;&nbsp; It seems to me everyone is very short sighted on this.&nbsp; &nbsp; If they were making full sized silver dollar versions of these designs, nobody would like that either.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Maybe silver is too expensive for some so why not copper versions?&nbsp; Why not clad versions for the youngsters!?&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; It&#039;d be going back to over-saturation of a product.&nbsp; I don&#039;t want to see it happen with this set.&nbsp; I think it would take away from the uniqueness.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; I hope they don&#039;t have 3 different versions of it.&nbsp; Really don&#039;t want to see proofs, RPs, enhanced unc, etc.., etc..&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; Just put a set out there and be done with it.&nbsp; &nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; As for complaining about the mints lack of creativity, I don&#039;t believe this was ever intended to be an attempt at creativity.&nbsp; If there wouldve been an attempt, it probably would be a disaster.&nbsp; &nbsp; What should they have done?&nbsp; Turned the designs into 3D modern versions?&nbsp;&nbsp; People would have complained about that. </p><p><br /></p><p>&nbsp; As for cost, it seems we have pretty good advanced notice here.&nbsp;&nbsp; If people really like the set and want one, there&#039;s no reason they can&#039;t get their hands on one.&nbsp; Gold is going down.&nbsp;&nbsp; There&#039;s plenty of time to prepare.</p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; I hope to see a low mintage, one version,&nbsp; more than one set per household limit, and a low gold spot price at time of release.&nbsp; &nbsp; </p><p>&nbsp; My main concerns is the mintage limit, and how they end up looking but I&#039;m not too concerned.&nbsp;&nbsp; The devices should be razor sharp, and clean.&nbsp; They should be the finest examples of the designs in coin form, any one of us could ever own.&nbsp; I think they&#039;ll be stunning.&nbsp; &nbsp; The last matter of concern will be getting them in hand without becoming &quot;lost&quot; at a sorting facility.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
