    Sorry this is off Marcianopolis topic, but watch for this one in an upcoming CNG auction, too! Nicest triumphal arch sestertius of Nero I had ever seen...

    Again, gorgeous coin, but the price tag will be beyond me. Hope you get what you need (it certainly should garner a lot of attention).

    Have mercy on the new guy...Off-topic again, but here's another one I got from CNG and they now have it back on consignment. Trajan sestertius: Reverse is nothing spectacular, but what a great, heroic bust of Trajan!

    It IS a very nice portrait. His portraits, along with Hadrian's, are always impressive.
