This contest is about determining the number of coins adding up to a total dollar amount, how many coins of each denomination, and which type(s) of each denomination for the included coins. Each member can submit one guess per day. Prize is one Proof 1963 Franklin half dollar. I need to take a picture of it and upload it. The total sum of the coins is $30.67 The nitty gritty of what your options are to determine the coins in this contest. Only the denominations and types listed below are included in the total dollar amount. Half cents: Capped Bust, Classic Head, Braided hair Cents: Draped Bust large cent, Classic Head large cent, Liberty Head large cent, Indian head cent, Lincoln cent Two cents Three cents: Silver and nickel Five cents: Bust half dime, Seated Liberty half dime, Shield nickel, Liberty nickel, Buffalo nickel, Jefferson nickel Dimes: Bust, Seated Liberty, Barber, Mercury, Roosevelt Twenty cents Quarters: Bust, Seated Liberty, Barber, Standing Liberty, Washington Half dollars: Bust, Seated Liberty, Barber, Walking Liberty, Franklin Silver Dollars: Bust, Seated Liberty, Trade, Morgan, Peace Gold dollars: Liberty head, Indian Princess head Quarter Eagles: Capped Bust, Classic head, Liberty head, Indian Half Eagles: Capped Bust, Classic head, Liberty head, Indian Eagles: Capped Bust, Liberty head, Indian Double Eagles: Liberty head, St. Gaudens For clarification there is no Flying Eagle cents, three or four dollar gold pieces or any coinage after 1960 in this contest. It does not matter if there are different sizes, varieties or design changes for any denomination or type. For example, a No Motto or With Motto Seated Liberty half dollar is just a Seated liberty half dollar. A large cent is the same as a small cent for that denomination you just have to figure which might be included. Metal content changes within each type will not matter. There won’t be a copper nickel and a bronze Indian head cent. If there is an Indian head cent it will be just that, an Indian head cent. Not all of the above denominations will be included. Not all of the above types for each denomination will be included. For each denomination there could be more than one of each type. For example, if there are five dimes then there could be one or more of the following types, Bust, Seated Liberty, Barber, Mercury, or Roosevelt. There will not be one of each. At least one copper, bronze, nickel, silver and gold metal coin types will be included. In addition to the clues above a new clue will be posted on June 4th and then every four days thereafter. When the new clue is posted any member who has correctly guessed one or more of any of the following will be posted along with that members’ name, number of coins by denomination or type, or total number of coins. For example if a guess was three half dollars and that was correct then that will be posted. If a guess was one Bust quarter and that was correct then that will be posted. I will be checking this thread every day in the afternoon/evening sometime and will respond to any questions as necessary. Good Luck!
