I was hoping Doug had already "Lewis and Clarked" some new territory for us Coin World forum members and I am not disappointed.
I`ve already noticed there seems to be a little wider range of collectors here and even a few currency collectors (rag pickers to some) as well.

I'm sure glad to see some old friends and some new people I hope to meet. It is a neat feeling to be a newbie. Now I can learn something new from a lot of people.

The day started with disappointment that the Coin World forum crew was gone forever.

But, not so, here at the end of the day I realize we are all together again, except in a new venue, and with lots of nice new friends!

Hopefully SleinaDG will soon join us also.

 

That's what I was going to say.

 

You can be sure that our new friends will be made to feel comfortable here at their new home, Peter.

BTW, for those who don't know me, my name is Jody.
I collect Jefferson nickels, Merchant tokens, US Type coins, and just about anything that I find interesting.

I started coin collecting in the mid-60's, and enjoy it even more, now that I have people that I can share the hobby with, via the internet.

I enjoy reading numismatic literature, and try to learn a little something everyday.

If there is anything that I can do, or say, that will help any of our new friends, I will be glad to. And by the same token, if any of you can help me with my enjoyment of the hobby, please don't be shy.

Hi, Folks - Another refugee from Coin World forums. Thanks for the welcome from the established regulars. And thanks to GD and JD for the link to this place. I'm looking forward to learning a lot here and getting to know a whole new gang of folks.

My current collecting efforts are towards completing a 20th century type set (first and last issues of each coin), IHC, Lincolns and a Rossevelt dime set. Among other things...

Well, they say there isn't anything harder to do than teach old dogs new tricks. I guess we will see just how long it take you collectors from this site to educate this old dog. Thanks for asking us over, it's appreciated.

 

Well I have already learned something!!! Old Dan (new alias) is from the great state of Wyoming. Currently looking at a possible trip to Wyoming next fall so I just may have to look him up! Glad ALL of the CW folks are making the switch as many really have become like family!
