Trubel, ok. Let me correct your error here, it is "Erol", not "Errol". So, I helped, didn't I? (lets ask this to "Corgi" who said to me "Learn English." Btw, yes, I've learnt enough English. Now, it is your turn. Learn Money.)

Truble, what just did you say? Did you say that the cent is none of your business? Ok, I take responsibility, it is my business...

Truble, these make zero sense to the people in the US? What? Americans are different? Yes, they too are different. I've heard such words from many people: "We English are different", "We Frenchs are different", "We Germans are different", "We Russians are different", "We Japaneses are different", "We Arabs are different", "We Turks are different", "We Jews are different", "We Kenyans are different", etc etc... See all are talking same...

Indeed, there may be some differences between communities. But, there are somethings common in the whole World. For example, that horse cart in the picture above. There is horse cart in this town. You know?, there is horse cart in New York too, in London too, in Paris too, in Moscow too, in Being too, in Istanbul too, in Tokyo too, in TelAviv too, in Berlin too, in Rome too, in Mekka too, in Rio too, in Havana too, in Cape Town too... Etc etc... Just hanging a flag on horse carts doesn't make any difference. Now, lets back to the money/coin.

Truble, when you said "it makes no sense to the people in the US", I guess, you voiced their opinion of people from the US. As of today, there are 43,807 registered members on this forum. I guess, among them, there are members from 50 or more different countries even if they are not active members. If we also count visitors/surfers, there are people viewing this public open forum from 150 or more countries. I'll voice their opinion of all those people and can think of that they all too are saying the same "all this one coin thing makes no sense to us here in our part of the World"... So, it has nothing to do with being American or Turk or French or etc etc... So, lets put this fact, fixed reality, first.

Truble, is the one coin a "good luck charm"? or a chance coin or a memorial coin or whatever? You know what? Same or similar things have been said in this town too. I've not said anything to them, however they interpreate, however they like to view, are all ok, no problem, as long as they have the one coin in their pockets. I'll explain this with a short story. Last year, I had a small accident, not serious. Anyway, emergency service was called, an ambulance came. And, before those EMT people at the ambulance made any treatment (injection, whatever, etc), I gave each of them a one coin. Now, after electricians (around 1000 people here in this town), EMT emergency people too (around 100 people in this town) now have the one coins in their pockets. When giving those one coins to them I did not say anything to them. It was a work, was a work safety issue, there was no time for explanation. They too smiled/laughed/etc, they too found nonsense, however, they got the one coins anyway by saying "ok, this is my luck charm, a memory, a souvenir, etc etc", and they put the one coins in their pockets. I did not put my nose into how they interpreated. However, in this global public forum, things are a little different, I am aware of this. So, ok, let me answer your this specific question:

"..."one cent coin" in their pockets, useful for "work safety"..."

How is this possible? (If I knew your occupation, I'd explain it better specifically to your case. However, this is not the case here in this public forum. So, I'd try to explain by generalizing as much as possible.)

In whole World, at all works, there is this money thing, you know. From poors to riches, from illiterates to scholars, from 7 years olds to 777 years olds, etc, all people have the money problem, you know. So, there is a 100% correlation between the money and the work. While AT works, people with the money problem generally lose their concentrations and that makes them less careful when doing a work and that may cause some unwanted big results, especially, in risky works such as electrics, welding casting etc at the industry, medical emergency service, etc which are more urgent fields (not limited to these higher risky fields, of course, it is about all fields where people work, where people use the money, that's, everywhere.) When people have the one cent coin in their pockets, they themselves can learn to be careful by realizing the "integrity" in the money in time. "Integrity" and "work safety" are closely related to each others. Once the work safety issue is completed, and then, they can learn it themselves by studying the one coins in their pockest, and, later, they can also educate their kids better. One of the final results in a short, medium or long term future (depending on how fast people will work) can be, for ex, that the 7000 year old ancient horse cart problem in all over the World which have not been solved yet can be put a the End.

(Ok, late in the night here. Good evening to there to the West and good morning to the East.)
