It has an engineering value which is wasted by using it in the coin. For example, that gold could be used in electric transmission so that its efficiency of electrical equipments such as medical equipments which require high accuracy could be much better. Ok, those old days, 2400 years ago, they were not knowing such high techs of today, but, even today, how the gold is being used is not much different than that in 2400 years old, a wasted value. </p><p><br /></p><p>What else? </p><p>Nothing more. There is no numeral/etc on this coin, and that tells nothing about the money itself, but, political/etc things and maybe a little about its "function" indirectly that is about the commerce/etc that is worthless when you see the horse cart in the commerce. Still, even today, most of coins (even with small numerals) with more political/etc figures on them shadowing the numerals are not much different than this ancient coin. </p><p><br /></p><p>A kid who started/starts to learn what the money was/is in old days/today can not learn anything about what the money itself was/is from these coins... They have no scientific value... Not talking rocket science here.
