In 1tulip and 1iris, what is important is tulip (or, iris), not "1" as tulip/iris/etc are arts like objects rather than mathematical objects. This is different in case of "money". When I have "1kurus" in my pocket, it means, I also have "1cent" (or 1agora or 1penny or 1yen or etc) in my pocket.
