Coin where Obverse is not aligned with Reverse

Wanted to drop this "Peace" square in the snap-tite but then the front wasn't. Does this minor misalignment make a coin less collectible or do people even notice?

I can't see it and the only thing i can think of is MAD.

 

Not really people care about the coin as a whole not a part.

 

Looks like a very minor rotation. Real interest starts around 90 degrees and upwards

 

I thought the op was talking about the rim i guess I'm mistaken.

 

Nope, die rotation this small is not a "thang" unless it's a lot and/or can be attributed to a rare die marriage/state.

 

Looks like the Peace dollar die rotation is 2°, maybe 3°. Not enough to even talk about.

 

Hi Jim - as noted by our fellow enthusiasts, the rotation is minor and within the coining process specifications. The variation would need to be much more significant to drive any kind of premium. Most folks wouldn't notice it unless it's framed the way you have it displayed. The more discerning folks will notice.

 

Still not enough rotation for a premium, but a nice one anyway.

I think that would look awesome if the eagle was totally upside down 180 degrees xD
